Overall, based on the information that I have reviewed thus far, I would most likely recommend  Davis Plumbing for Alpharetta home-owners.

3. Batylin Plumbing – This company doesn’t have a large number of reviews so it is difficult to evaluate their internet reputation from only a handful of reviews.  However, the reviews that are available are very positive and the company has a track record(of reviews) going back a couple of years. Most fly-by-nights don’t stick around more than a year or so, so this is a good sign for this fledgling company. Their search engine tactics seem legitimate as well. I will be contacting the owner Vladimir Batylin, the owner, for a standard price list for this site.  Overall, while there are other companies with more established reputations, I think that Batylin Plumbing is a solid plumber in Alpharetta.

Marietta Plumbing Company Reviews

These reviews are not ordered by company popularity, they are simply listed in the order that they appear in google for the search term “Marietta Plumbers“. In each individual review I also reveal how these companies achieved their search engine position. Some tactics used to achieve a high ranking in search engines like google or yahoo are considered ethical, however, others are considered unethical. I will point out which set of tactics each company is using.

1. Ridgeway Mechanical- I reviewed Ridgeway Mechanical in the post: Atlanta Plumber Reviews.  Here is a copy of that review:

This company appears to be affiliated with Atlanta Water Lines which is #2 on this list(the Atlanta list).  Looking at customer reviews I can say that Ridgeway also has several legitimate positive reviews.  They also responded to negative reviews and appeared genuine in their attempt to resolve customer complaints.  I would say that they have earned a solid internet reputation. However, along with Atlanta Water Lines, they are deliberately attempting to manipulate the search results. They appear to be affiliated with over a dozen local plumbing sites whose only purpose is to help  Ridgeway Mechanical and its sister sites appear high in the search results.  The desire to rank high on the search engines is understandable but using unethical tactics to achieve such ranking is simply dishonest and wrong.  If and when Ridgeway takes down its link farm, they might be recommendable, however, at this time, I would look for other companies to service my plumbing needs.

For the city of Marietta, two of Ridgeway’s sites actually rank in the top 5 as of today 12/27/2009. If cheating didn’t work, people wouldn’t do it.

2. Atlantis Plumbing - I also reviewed Atlantis Plumbing in the Atlanta post:  Here is a copy of that review:

After a review of Atlantis Plumbing’s kudzu reviews and reviews from a few other sources, I can conclude that this is a company that has a decent percentage of legitimate reviews. No company is always perfect so they do have a few customers who gave poor reviews, however, the vast majority of the “legitimate reviews” were positive. Unfortunately, some of the search engine tactics used by Atlantis are questionable. They operate several other websites that target specific Atlanta suburbs. These websites constitute what is known as a link farm and this is an unethical tactic used to artificially inflate search rankings.   As far as pricing is concerned I have no way of currently evaluating the fairness of their pricing model, however, I do plan on speaking with the company owners soon to post some standard pricing for common plumbing repairs so that you can have an accurate expectation as to what you should expect to pay for certain repairs. You can make a decision as to whether or not you want to do business with a company that uses unethical marketing techniques.

3. Mr. Plumber Atlanta- Mr Plumber Atlanta was also reviewed in the Atlanta post and here is a copy of that review:

Coolray/Mr Plumber Atlanta – Coolray/Mr. Plumber does lots of radio advertising here in the local Atlanta area. Coolray’s reviews seem to be a mixed bag, mostly positive but a larger than expected number of average or negative reviews.  Since the company does both HVAC service and plumbing, it’s a little more difficult to seperate the two but most of the negative reviews seemed to be related to the heating and air portion of the company.  They do have a good number of legitimate positive reviews and generally responded promptly to negative feedback. This is always a good sign. I will also be contacting them for a standard price list and post that as soon as possible.

I didn’t have to choose “Smyrna Plumbers“, I could have chosen to order these reviews using a different search query like “Smyrna Plumbing” or “Smyrna Plumber“, however, since these contractors are likely to appear highly for all of these terms it shouldn’t matter too much.

1. Aames Plumbing – Aames plumbing was reviewed in the post Atlanta Plumber Reviews available on the homepage and here  is a copy of that review:

Aames, like many others on this list, heard their competitors advertising on the radio and determined that that must be a great means of reaching customers in the Atlanta area. You have heard the saying that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery right? Well for Aames, it appears that imitation is their only method for attracting legitimate business. After examining reviews on sites like: kudzu.com,  insiderpages.com, and others, I  conclude that Aames Plumbing has a poor online reputation. Based on the information I have reviewed I would consider it a risk to use this company for your plumbing needs.

2. Atlanta Sewer Lines – Atlanta Sewer Lines seems to be yet another sister site of Ridgeway Mechanical. This site seems to be targeted toward consumers looking for a plumber in Smyrna. Ridgeway was also reviewed in the post Atlanta Plumber Reviews available on the homepage and here is a copy of that review:

3. Atech Plumbing: Atech is the lone new entry on this list of Smyrna plumbers, however, they seem to have built a solid internet reputation in spite of being further down in the rankings. They have an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars on Kudzu.com based on 35+ reviews, the majority of which seem legitimate. The only negative that I could pull after reading these was that Atech did not respond to customers who posted negative feedback. This isn’t necessarily required but it is a good sign when a company takes the time to explain why a particular customer may not have been satisfied with the service they received. Aside from that, Atech has built their search ranking ethically and overall seems to be a solid Smyrna plumber. I will be contacting them to obtain a price list to post here so that you can compare their standard prices to some of their competitors.
