This site is devoted to an unbiased honest review of local metro Atlanta plumbing companies. Many of the plumbing contractors reviewed on other pages in this site service the Alpharetta area as well. Alpharetta Plumbing Contractor Reviews

These reviews are not ordered by popularity, they are simply listed in the order they appear in google for the search term “Alpharetta Plumbers“. I could have chosen to order them based on a different search query like “Alpharetta Plumbing” or “Alpharetta Plumber“, however since these companies will likely appear highly for all of these terms it shouldn’t make much of a difference. I also mention “how” these companies achieved their search ranking and whether their tactics would be considered ethical.

1. Pete’s Plumbing Inc. – After examining reviews of this company from several local review services including Kudzu.com, I came to the conclusion that Pete’s Plumbing has built a respectable online reputation. The majority of the reviews seemed legitimate and about 80% of the reviews were positive. Also the tactics used by the company to achieve their search ranking are ethical. I will be contacting Pete’s to obtain a price list for standard repairs so until then I can not provide any information on the fairness of their pricing. Overall, based on the information that I have reviewed, I would say the Pete’s Plumbing is likely a solid Alpharetta Plumber.

2. Davis Plumbing – Davis Plumbing appears to be owned and operated by Melvin Davis. They have received over 100 reviews on sites Kudzu.com and after reading through several reviews and examining their legitimacy, I conclude that Davis Plumbing has built a strong online reputation. The vast majority of the reviews were positive and the company responded to several of the negative reviews with reasonable explanations. The tactics used to achieve their search engine ranking are also ethical. Again at this point I am unable to provide any information regarding the fairness of their pricing but I will contact Mr. Davis and request a price list to post on this site. Overall, based on the information that I have reviewed thus far, I would most likely recommend  Davis Plumbing for Alpharetta home-owners.

3. Batylin Plumbing – This company doesn’t have a large number of reviews so it is difficult to evaluate their internet reputation from only a handful of reviews.  However, the reviews that are available are very positive and the company has a track record(of reviews) going back a couple of years. Most fly-by-nights don’t stick around more than a year or so, so this is a good sign for this fledgling company. Their search engine tactics seem legitimate as well. I will be contacting the owner Vladimir Batylin, the owner, for a standard price list for this site.  Overall, while there are other companies with more established reputations, I think that Batylin Plumbing is a solid plumber in Alpharetta.

Marietta Plumbing Company Reviews

These reviews are not ordered by company popularity, they are simply listed in the order that they appear in google for the search term “Marietta Plumbers“. In each individual review I also reveal how these companies achieved their search engine position. Some tactics used to achieve a high ranking in search engines like google or yahoo are considered ethical, however, others are considered unethical. I will point out which set of tactics each company is using.

1. Ridgeway Mechanical- I reviewed Ridgeway Mechanical in the post: Atlanta Plumber Reviews.  Here is a copy of that review:

This company appears to be affiliated with Atlanta Water Lines which is #2 on this list(the Atlanta list).  Looking at customer reviews I can say that Ridgeway also has several legitimate positive reviews.  They also responded to negative reviews and appeared genuine in their attempt to resolve customer complaints.  I would say that they have earned a solid internet reputation. However, along with Atlanta Water Lines, they are deliberately attempting to manipulate the search results. They appear to be affiliated with over a dozen local plumbing sites whose only purpose is to help  Ridgeway Mechanical and its sister sites appear high in the search results.  The desire to rank high on the search engines is understandable but using unethical tactics to achieve such ranking is simply dishonest and wrong.  If and when Ridgeway takes down its link farm, they might be recommendable, however, at this time, I would look for other companies to service my plumbing needs.

For the city of Marietta, two of Ridgeway’s sites actually rank in the top 5 as of today 12/27/2009. If cheating didn’t work, people wouldn’t do it.

2. Atlantis Plumbing - I also reviewed Atlantis Plumbing in the Atlanta post:  Here is a copy of that review:

After a review of Atlantis Plumbing’s kudzu reviews and reviews from a few other sources, I can conclude that this is a company that has a decent percentage of legitimate reviews. No company is always perfect so they do have a few customers who gave poor reviews, however, the vast majority of the “legitimate reviews” were positive. Unfortunately, some of the search engine tactics used by Atlantis are questionable. They operate several other websites that target specific Atlanta suburbs. These websites constitute what is known as a link farm and this is an unethical tactic used to artificially inflate search rankings.   As far as pricing is concerned I have no way of currently evaluating the fairness of their pricing model, however, I do plan on speaking with the company owners soon to post some standard pricing for common plumbing repairs so that you can have an accurate expectation as to what you should expect to pay for certain repairs. You can make a decision as to whether or not you want to do business with a company that uses unethical marketing techniques.

3. Mr. Plumber Atlanta- Mr Plumber Atlanta was also reviewed in the Atlanta post and here is a copy of that review:

Coolray/Mr Plumber Atlanta – Coolray/Mr. Plumber does lots of radio advertising here in the local Atlanta area. Coolray’s reviews seem to be a mixed bag, mostly positive but a larger than expected number of average or negative reviews.  Since the company does both HVAC service and plumbing, it’s a little more difficult to seperate the two but most of the negative reviews seemed to be related to the heating and air portion of the company.  They do have a good number of legitimate positive reviews and generally responded promptly to negative feedback. This is always a good sign. I will also be contacting them for a standard price list and post that as soon as possible.

These reviews are ordered not by the popularity of the company, but rather simply the order that these companies appear in the google search results for the term “Smyrna Plumbers“. I didn’t have to choose “Smyrna Plumbers“, I could have chosen to order these reviews using a different search query like “Smyrna Plumbing” or “Smyrna Plumber“, however, since these contractors are likely to appear highly for all of these terms it shouldn’t matter too much.

1. Aames Plumbing – Aames plumbing was reviewed in the post Atlanta Plumber Reviews available on the homepage and here  is a copy of that review:

Aames, like many others on this list, heard their competitors advertising on the radio and determined that that must be a great means of reaching customers in the Atlanta area. You have heard the saying that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery right? Well for Aames, it appears that imitation is their only method for attracting legitimate business. After examining reviews on sites like: kudzu.com,  insiderpages.com, and others, I  conclude that Aames Plumbing has a poor online reputation. Based on the information I have reviewed I would consider it a risk to use this company for your plumbing needs.

2. Atlanta Sewer Lines – Atlanta Sewer Lines seems to be yet another sister site of Ridgeway Mechanical. This site seems to be targeted toward consumers looking for a plumber in Smyrna. Ridgeway was also reviewed in the post Atlanta Plumber Reviews available on the homepage and here is a copy of that review:

3. Atech Plumbing: Atech is the lone new entry on this list of Smyrna plumbers, however, they seem to have built a solid internet reputation in spite of being further down in the rankings. They have an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars on Kudzu.com based on 35+ reviews, the majority of which seem legitimate. The only negative that I could pull after reading these was that Atech did not respond to customers who posted negative feedback. This isn’t necessarily required but it is a good sign when a company takes the time to explain why a particular customer may not have been satisfied with the service they received. Aside from that, Atech has built their search ranking ethically and overall seems to be a solid Smyrna plumber. I will be contacting them to obtain a price list to post here so that you can compare their standard prices to some of their competitors.

Kennsesaw Plumbing Contractor Reviews

These reviews are not ordered by popularity of the company, they are simply listed in the order that they appear in the google search results for the phrase “Kennesaw Plumbers“. In each of these reviews I will mention how each company acheived their search engine ranking and whether or not the tactics used were honest and legitimate. Unfortunately for some companies the desire to achieve a high search engine positioning overrides their intergrity and they use deceptive tactics to trick the search engines. When a company employs these types of tactics I will expose them and publicly reprimand them for engaging in unethical behavior.

1. The Plumbers Inc. – After combing the internet for reviews of this company I was disappointed that I was unable to find a single customer review from an independent website. The site does list several testimonials with 4 and 5 star ratings however, they do not provide any information as to where those star ratings were given and they do not have a listing in any of the major contractor review sites(Kudzu.com, AngiesList.com, MerchantCircle.com etc). Based on the lack of independent information available online I am unable to rate this company. I can say that their search engine tactics are ethical and they have a “code of ethics” on their website which is a great sign. As a side note they also have a catchy gingle that plays when you visit their website, not that that has any bearing but most fly-by-nights will not take the time to make theme music.  While I would have liked to provide a more useful review of this company there simply isn’t enough data for me to do so. I will be contacting the ownership for a standard price list and hope to be able to provide more information on this company in the near fuure.

2. Atlantis Plumbing - This company services Kennesaw and many other parts of the metro area. I  reviewed Atlantis Plumbing on the Atlanta reviews post.  Here is a copy of that review:

Superior Plumbing is another local company that spends money advertising on local radio stations in hopes of endearing themselves to metro Atlanta consumers. After a cursory examination of their online reputation they too seem to have a decent amount of legitimate reviews. From reading these reviews I would likely conclude that the company provides a solid service. Once I get a standard price list I can make a more definitive recommendation but as of now I would say that Superior Plumbing is a solid local plumbing contractor.

Without revealing which company I worked for, I simply want to educate the public on various tactics used in the industry and help homeowners hire trustworthy plumbing companies. Reviews of Several Popular Atlanta Plumbing Companies

I review these companies by examining three major factors:

1. Internet Reputation – To increase visibility, most companies sign up for listings on sites like Kudzu.com, MerchantCircle.com, and others. These sites allow customers to independently rate and review these companies and based on reviews and ratings on sites like these the company develops an internet reputation. Unfortunately the temptation is too strong for many companies in service based businesses is to post “fake” reviews lauding their business as the best in their particularly industry. Unfortunately for them, I have become an expert at spotting these fake reviews. These reviews generally have the same characteristics: the reviewer has only one review and it is of the company in question, the reviewer joined the service the same day they did the review and never reviewed  a single other company. Now some companies do offer discounts for customers who give them a positive review and this is a legitimate way to build an online reputation. However, the review profiles for those companies will look distinctly different from the companies who use fraudulent tactics.

2. Search Engine Tactics - There are a variety of ways that a company can try to increase their search engine ranking. Some of these tactics are ethical, but some are unethical. Some companies literally cheat their way to the top, and when they do, I expose them.

3. Correspondence with Company Representatives - I try to do as fair a job as possible when posting a company review. I understand that a negative review on a site like this can be very damaging for a company and its employees.  I will do my very best to contact each company that is reviewed on this list and give them an opportunity to directly contribute information about their company.

These reviews are not ordered by the popularity of the company, they are simply listed in the same order that they appeared in google for the search term “Atlanta Plumbers” when this article was written. I will also reveal “how” these companies maneuvered their way to the top of google and whether their tactics are ethical.

1. Champs Plumbing- We will start out with Champs Plumbing who offers both residential and commercial plumbing service to most of the Metro Atlanta area.  I examined their reviews on sites like Kudzu, Insiderpages, & MerchantCircle and they all seem legitimate. I actually know one of the reviewers who reviewed them on Insiderpages and emailed her to confirm. Their search engine tactics are also ethical which sets them apart from most of the other top companies on this list. I asked my friend(the reviewer from Insiderpages) to send me a copy of her invoice  and their pricing was very reasonable. Based on the information I’ve seen I can definitely say that Champs Plumbing is a recommendable Atlanta plumber.  Champs Atlanta Plumbing (770) 685-6410

Atlantis Plumbing –  After a review of Atlantis Plumbing’s kudzu reviews and reviews from a few other sources, I can conclude that this is a company that has a decent percentage of legitimate reviews. Atlanta Water Lines – Unfortunately Atlanta Water Lines is another company that appears to be engaging in what I would call unethical tactics to artificially inflate their search engine positioning. They appear to be affiliated with Ridgeway Mechanical, a local company that operates over a dozen plumbing websites whose sole purpose appears to be to provide their sister sites an artificial boost in the search engine rankings. After analyzing company reviews on various sources it is also clear that they sub-contract a percentage of their work out to other companies. If customers have a problem with work done by a sub-contractor, they are directed to contact the subcontractor. I will contact Atlanta Water Lines in order to get their input, however, at this time, based on the information I have reviewed, I would not recommend this company.

4. Allgood Plumbing – Allgood has done radio advertising here in the local Atlanta market and has developed a reputation as a respectable local contractor. After a review of their online reputation I can also conclude that they also have a decent percentage of legitimate reviews.  Again for Allgood I have no way of evaluating the fairness of their pricing, I can however, say that they pass certain preliminary tests as a potentially recommendable Atlanta plumbing contractor. I plan on contacting the company owners to provide a standard price list for various common repairs.

5. Delta Plumbing – Unfortunately Delta Plumbing has a very limited online reputation on which to base a review of this company. They appear to have hired a local search engine marketing company to assist them in ranking higher for various search results. This of course is fine, and a good sign that the business owner is trying to grow the business. However, for the purposes of this review, I can provide no useful information as to the reliability of this company. I will say that the tactics used by this company to achieve a higher search engine positioning are ethical and do not fall into the category of “unethical” like the tactics used by other companies on this list.

8. Zurn Plumbing – Zurn Plumbing appears to be a solid local company whose been in business since 1985. After looking through reviews from several sources I can conclude that they have earned a solid reputation as a trustworthy local business. They do not engage in any unethical search engine tactics and their website says they offer flat pricing. These are all good things. I will contact Zurn to compile a standards price list for this site and post this when available.  As of now I have no way of knowing whether or not their pricing is reasonable, but based on all of the other factors I would say that Zurn is company that I could recommend using for your Atlanta plumbing needs.

9. Superior Plumbing – Superior Plumbing is another local company that spends money advertising on local radio stations in hopes of endearing themselves to metro Atlanta consumers. After a cursory examination of their online reputation they too seem to have a decent amount of legitimate reviews. From reading these reviews I would likely conclude that the company provides a solid service. Once I get a standard price list I can make a more definitive recommendation but as of now I would say that Superior Plumbing is a solid local plumbing contractor.

10. Brookhaven Plumbing -Brookhaven Plumbing only has a few online reviews and a has not yet established a strong internet reputation. They do however, appear to be a reputable local business from the limited information that is available.  I will contact Brookhaven directly in hopes of providing a more useful review of their plumbing services.

11. Coolray/Mr Plumber Atlanta – Coolray/Mr. Plumber does lots of radio advertising here in the local Atlanta area.
